The 2011 Spring Couture show from Christian Dior was all parts glamorous, lovely, feminine, retro, and vamp. I adore this collection and love that it exudes femininity through its colors, textiles, and certainly its silhouettes. As I look at this collection, I see both sides of the woman portrayed. We see her beautiful, lady-like side which is praised through the soft, flowing gowns and gorgeous make-up. However, this collection did not leave out the powerful, sexy side of women. This side was enhanced and showcased through the figure hugging suits, which highlight a womans shoulders, waist, and hips.
I also adored the nod to the 1950's in this collection. I saw the retro-glam in the hair, make-up, and in the color pallet and style of the gowns and certainly in the sexy skirt suits.
